Tracey's Take on the January Challenge

Welcome don't you just love the challenge that Jane set for us this month? I held off posting mine until Australia Day...just because the challenge was inspired by this awesome day.

Australia Day 2011

The challenge is to include the colours red, white and blue (other colours are allowed), stars and stripes onto you layout/cart/project. Make sure you get your layouts into the Mystical Scrapbooks Gallery by the 31st January for your chance to win a fantastic prize.

Happy Scrapping.

January Cyber Crop

Welcome to the first Cyber Crop of 2015!

Hello everyone, if your anything like us, you have finally de-stressed from the silly season rush around... and reached a ''mellowing out state'' for the rest of the holidays!

We have 3 very different challenges for you to kick off our first CC for 2015. So have some fun with them....spread the word with your scrappy friends and let's see if we can't get a few new friends to join us :)

Close off date is midnight Jan 31st.  Upload your work into the correct gallery to be in the running for a $25.00 Mystical gift voucher.  The winner is chosen at random, and our DT will also pick a favourite entry to receive a chipboard pack.

JANE HOWDEN'S Challenge

My challenge for you this month is to do a page using non conventional sized and shaped photos - so no standard 6x4 or 4x4 !  You can use rectangles and squares if you really want to but they need to be much smaller or way bigger than the norm but why not challenge yourself to do a layout using circles or triangles or even some hexagons.

Just Smile

I have used Pink Paislee- Hey Kid Red Rover paper which conveniently comes with circular holes in which to place my photos :)  I added some of the cute chipboard sticker embellishments that come in this range plus a few little bits and pieces of my own..

Can't wait to see what you come up with !!

DONNA COPE'S Challenge

I have a sketch for you.. I have 2 requirements, must have some paint or messy stuff and include at least one hand made embellishment.

TRACEY CAMPBELL'S Challenge

For my challenge you are going to be starting with your cardstock base, draw a large X anywhere on it that you like - you can draw in pencil to start with but it must become part of your design. Now with that X use it as a main feature on your page. Whether you create your pattern paper around it (like I have done), or your photos, use it as an embellishment or as lines to write your title or journaling on. It does not matter as long as it is incorporated into your design some how.

Love This

We hope you enjoy the challenges and we look forward to you filling up our gallery with your creative layouts.

It's a brand new year with a brand new challenge ...

Welcome to a brand new year on Mystical.  We hope you have survived all the turkey, ham and pudding leftovers and are fit and eager to start off 2015.

Our first challenge is a bit of an ode to Australia Day but in an easy scrap friendly format.

On your page I'd like you to include ...

The colours red, white and blue.
Stripes.
Stars.

You can add other colours and other embellishments just so long as the criteria is covered.

I have used Echo Park Trendsetter range from the store.

We'd love to see your pages in the gallery and you have all month to play along with us.
