YouTube channels

 Hi everyone.

Today I am looking for a bit of help.

Each day when I sit down to have my lunch I watch something crafty on YouTube. I love seeing what others are creating and it motivates me to try new things and look at new products (oh no).

I have my favourites that I watch:-

Scrapbooking:- Missy Widden, Scrapbook.com, Hip Kit Club, Uniquely Creative, Creating with Jovi and of course our own Louise Turner

Cardmaking:- Vicky Papaioannou, Jennifer McGuire Ink, Maremi Small Arts

Album making:- Scrap Queen

Art Journalling:- Dyan Reavley and My Arty Heart

I am looking for some new channels to watch and I was wondering if you would share your favourites with me.

Looking forward to watching some new (to me) and inspiring channels

Have a happy relaxed day, hopefully with some crafting included

Till next time
Cheers
Julie

I have used Simple Stories Hello Summer paper range.

Hope you enjoy the challenge and the sketch.

   Hi Crafters

Each year I participate in December Daily ...

It's an album dedicated to all things December.

I love Christmas and looking through the albums is so much fun.

I'm not ashamed to admit that I'm terrible at finishing the album, it's my goal to finish last years, before I start this years.

So today I'm sharing that with you.

I've used the

Uniquely Creative Once Upon A Christmas collection.

Here are the supplies used for this layout:

Storage Tip - Dies. Part 2

I'm back with part 2 of my die storage makeover.

After putting all my dies into their pockets I went looking for a suitable container to keep them in.  A friend showed me what she keeps hers in and I immediately when out and brought some too!

These are the medium Boxsweden brand.

Next came the dividers, found these wooden placemats at a cheap craft shop, that where the perfect size, hubby just had to cut them straight down the middle.

I painted one side and added some pretty paper to the other. (This is actually old Christmas paper! )

Sorted out my dies into categories, then popped a label on each divider.

I still have some more to do, just waiting on some more containers and pockets to arrive :)

This was not maybe the cheapest option in the long run, but I think it's what's going to work best for me.  I'm really happy with how it's turned out!  Can't wait to sort the rest out.

Hope this helps or inspires you, have a great crafty day

Storage Tip - Dies. Part 1

Hi everyone... Donna here, and it's my turn to share something with you today.

I'm going to share what I've been working on lately, my new die storage.  I've seen lots of people sharing their magnetic die systems, so I thought I would have a go as well.

I can be a bit of a lazy scrapper...if I don't see it, or it's too hard to get out, then I don't use it...My dies are a good example of that, I very rarely used them as it was just too much of a pain to find anything.

So here we go...
First up, buy some magnetic sheets - Found them on eBay,  the first lot I ordered were too thin, tried again and found 1mm plain A4 sheets from Melbourne where perfect, then find some storage pockets, again I found some on eBay... there are lots to choose from.

I got mine here - A4 magnetic sheets   Storage pockets

The magnetic sheets are easy enough to cut with a nice sharp Stanley knife.

Then simply attach your dies to the sheets.

Where I could I add the brand and name of the die at the back of the packet.  I redid the stars as the magnetic sheet was too small for the pocket.

Right now I'm working on the dividers to put them into groups, and I will be back to show you the end result in the next day or two.

Happy crafting
Donna

October Challenge

Welcome to our October challenges!
This month we are all about sketches.. but as always, Mystical sketches come with an additional requirement :)

Hi everyone,

Julie here to share my October challenge with you.

The theme for the month is Sketch plus and my challenge is to use this sketch from PageMaps and the plus is to add stitching

Here is my layout.

The photos were taken on one of my walks along the River Torrens here in Adelaide. I am very lucky to live so close to the beautiful walking track that follows both sides of the river. As you can see from the central photo I have even seen Koalas on my walk. Who would think this was in the middle of a city....

There is a process video here.

I have used Kaisercraft's Native Breeze papers for this layout.

I used this sketch to create another layout in 2016. This one does not have any stitching but you might be able to draw some inspiration from it.

Good luck with this month's challenges, can't wait to see your projects.

Julie
