Find Paradise by Colour Blast by Bee Arty

Hello crafty friends...

I finally found some time to scrap today!

I love running my little shop, but it can, however, leave me little time to actually sit and scrap... the irony of having your hobby become your business I suppose 😀

But today I put everything else aside and finished a page I started at the beginning of the month.

Colour Blast Find Paradise range was perfect for this page, still scrapping our Singapore holiday!

As the background paper has such lovely details all I wanted to do was frame my photos at bit with flowers and foliage and add some layers with Bazzill Pinecone for a bit of extra interest.

My palm trees are from Dusty Attic.

I've used Colour Blast Leaves of Paradise die as well as Kaisercrafts Tropical die set so I got different size leaves, some Nuvo drops and it's done.

Time to go and clean up my desk for some more scrapping!
Take care
Donna

Two Easy Handmade Fabric Flowers

Hi Mystical friends

Today I would like to share a video with you that shows how to create two different styles of fabric flowers.

You can use any fabric to create these flowers although I find that the softer the fabric the nicer the flower tends to sit.

I have used an assortment of tulles and meshes to make eleven flowers. These flowers are very quick to make and can be made in any colour to suit your project.

You do not need any special tools for this task. A pair of scissors, your fabrics, a needle and cotton and something for the centres of your flowers.

I have used a combination of brads and gems for my centres.

You can view the video here.

I hope you try these techniques, I would love to see any flowers that you make.

Happy crafting
Hugs
Julie

A 12x12 layout titled "Perfect"

This layout features:

It took a little while for me to finish this layout because I couldn't decide what I needed in the background.

I put it aside for a couple of days and while cutting some other cut files I decided the star was the perfection addition.

Here is the video

July Cyber Crop

Hello crafty friends and welcome to our July CC!

3 challenges, and over a week to complete them.  A game of bingo on Saturday is played on our chat page.

While we have a Christmas theme, remember you don't have to scrap Christmas photos... As long as you follow the challenge guides you can scrap or create anything you wish.

Challenge 1  - Sketch - plus sparkle!

Use this sketch to inspire you and add some sparkle and or shimmer in any way you wish!  This is a double layout, however your free to use just one side to create a single if you wish.

Hope you have fun with this
Donna

Challenge 2 - Inspiration Board (by sewyeah)

I have not made a Christmas layout for this challenge. I have taken the colours of red, white and grey, the stripes running behind the wreath, the circle of the wreath and the flowers as inspiration for my layout.

This is my layout;

Here is the video link to watch me create this layout:- 24Seven Love Layout

Looking forward to seeing your creations
Julie

Challenge 3 - Inspired by Inkie Quill "Grab 5"

I've used the Kaisercraft Christmas Edition Paper pad and created a non-Christmas layout.
I started with a glitter cardstock background and mixed texture paste with distress ink then added the paste through the script stencil.

A washi tape border and some embellishing with Rhinestones and Flowers.

Here is the video link to watch me create this layout: https://youtu.be/3WvlMHTdEx8

I hope you'll find some time to "Grab 5" and get creative.
Louise

Tip of the Week

This tip is very important! The best way to make sure you use your supplies is to have them close to hand and easy to access. The best way to have enough energy for a days scrapbooking is to ensure you have some tasty treats handy too. :-)

Julie's July Challenge Layout

Hello Ladies

I would like to share with you my layout for the July "Christmas In July" themed challenge.

For this challenge you must use gold, torn paper edges and stars on your layout.

It does not have to be a Christmas layout but I have taken the opportunity to create a layout documenting the new Christmas tree I purchased a couple of years ago.

I would love to see your take on the prompts.

I have created a video showing how this page came together if you would like to watch it.

The patterned papers I have used are from the Kaisercraft Starry Night collection. Paper names are Magic, Marvellous and the background is Linen Cardstock in Bridal White

Till next time
Hugs
Julie

Gallery pick - Rikki G

How colourful and full of life is this page by Rikki G from out Mystical Chat Albums. I love and respect the huge amount of work Rikki has put into fussy cutting all these elements. Her gathering is spectacular! Her layout works because her photo has a singular focus- that dear little face with the gorgeous cheeks and eyes. The scalloped chipboard provides a contrast to all the flows and such and the white space down the bottom of her page helps to balance it and give our eyes a rest. Such a great page! Thanks for inspiring us with your talent Rikki.

July Challenge

Hello crafty friends...

Now that our 2020 competition is over we are back to our regular monthly challenges,  and as it's July, we have to go with.....

Challenge  1

Hi everyone.
Julie here with my first challenge as a Design Team member.
I am very excited to be here and can't wait to get started.

The theme for July is "Christmas In July" and I understand that not everyone has Christmas photos to scrap at this time of the year so I have made my challenge so it can be used with any photos, Christmas or other.

My challenge for you is to use
STARS
TORN PAPER EDGES
GOLD
You must use all of these elements on your project

I will be back in a few days to share my layout with you.

Can't wait to see your entries.

Julie

Challenge 2

Hi Everyone. Louise here.

I'm so honoured to be joining the DT and can't wait to share this journey with you.

So let's get into the challenge for this month.

I've created an inspiration board to give you some ideas for the "Christmas in July" theme.

Inspiration comes from many places and you could use all or one of the following:

- Red, green, gold or silver
- Any of the words: Presents, Fun, Family, Peace
- Groups of 4
- A grid type layout
- paint background

I can't wait to see your entries and look forward to seeing how you're inspired.

I've used the grid style and chosen Gold as my main colour.

I've used the Kaisercraft Christmas Edition 6x6 paper pad, teamed with some Gold foil and a little bit of red bling.

One of my favourite techniques at the moment is stitching and I love to leave the cotton threads hanging, I love the texture it adds.

Here are some close ups ...

Have Fun & Enjoy.

Challenge Rules:
Please upload your entries using our Linky, or to the album in our Private Facebook Chat Group by 11.55pm, 31st July 2020 to be eligible for the prize.

Facebook Albums - Here
Chat Page - Here

The prize is by random draw.

International entries are welcome, however, due to international postage cost, a Creative Design Spot will be offered along with a little surprise in the post.

Australia residents, this month’s prize is a Kaisercraft kit.

Have fun and please share our challenges with your crafty friends!
