Hello everyone

I've always loved a bit on depth to my pages, when I look back on my early work, to the work I do now, the one big difference is dimension!  So I thought I might share some simple ways to add a bit of dimension to your page

Dimension refers to the extent to which something lifts off the page. This can be added to your pages in a variety of ways.

My style is not an over the top heavy layered one, I'm fairly clean and simple,  but I do like a bit of lift on my pages, this engages the eye and gives your pages depth and interest.  You can add actual dimension to you work with a few basic layering techniques, distressing and with 3D dots. Using mediums like texture paste adds not only dimension but texture as well.

With this page I'm made a heart banner, and using 3D dots I've lifted it off the page.  You can find them here

On this page I've lifted a strip of PP the same way,  

 

One of the reason I love AC Thickers so much is that they also add a bit of dimension, so when I wanted to used the coordinating alpha stickers from the paper range,  I first stuck them to card-stock, cut them out and popped them using 3D dots again.

Texture paste is my next favourite way to add some interest... 

With this page I've added the look of extra dimension by layering with dark card stock, giving an type of shadow effect and helping the colours to pop against the neutral background

I hope this inspired you to have a bit of a play with your pages.

Jane's gallery pick er ... picks!

Been having a little wander through the gallery and WOW are there some fabulous layouts in there ladies - well done all of you :)
