Love this page Kristy (kikyee) in the Mystical gallery. I think she's done a great job with the patterned papers she's chosen to go with her photos. The stamping and misting are a lovely subtle way to break up that solid background paper. Love the journalling strips and fun title. Plus a really good idea to keep the embellishments to a minimum with so many photos on the page. This layout was for week 6 in our competition. Thanks so much for joining in Kristy and sharing your talent with us.

I really could choose just one of these amazing layouts from Tracy A in our gallery. This stunner above was made for our March Cyber Crop Challenges. And the page below was from week 6 of out competition. Both pages feature excellent design sense, great embellishing and colour schemes and best of all they showcase Tracy's awesome mixed media skills. Thank-you Tracy for sharing these in our gallery and playing along with our challenges!

DT Share: Cool Dude

I have combined elements from four different paper lines for this page. Layering up a bunch of medium sized scraps is a great way of using up supplies. I throw all of the left overs from my Mystical kits into a drawer and every so often will pull out some that work together and then find a photo or photos to suit- cost effective scrapbooking!

So what did I use? Simple Stories: Life in Colour and Heart Papers: Big Memories, Love The Life and Elements Two. Fancy Pants Happy Place: Good Day, Finally Cocoa Vanilla: Love Always: Class Act. The Thickers are Amy Tangerine Alyx- they have a great metallic silver stripe. I have embellished with Simple Stories Life in Colour: Chip stickers, Cardstock Stickers, and Ephemera. Of course there's some Kaisercraft Red Polka Dot Washi and I've sprayed the white cardstock base with Kaisermist Turquoise and Peach.

May Cyber Crop

Welcome to our May Cyber Crop!

We have 3 sketches, each with their own added requirement!  I've made use of the wonderful Page Maps for my sketches, for some reason I just couldn't create a decent sketch to save myself this month!!

Challenge 1 - Sketch Plus Paint

To incorporate the paint requirement I've made some the squares paint instead of paper, painted some chipboard and flicked some about too!  Your free to add paint however you like.

I have a bit of jounalling to do, need to find the date!  I've used Jillibean Chit Chat Chowder papers on Kasiercraft Kraft card

Challenge 2 - Sketch plus Mood/Colour board

And the sketch to go with it...

And here is my take on the two.  From the mood board I've taken inspiration from the copper, texture from the blankets and the flowers.


Challenge 3 - Sketch Plus Stamping and colour

My challenge for you this month is a super simple sketch- but you need to making stamping a feature of your page. You also must colour your stamping. I've used mists but you can use whatever you please- paint, pencils, ink, pen- you name it. It would be cool to see heaps of colour but not a must.

My pages uses Bazzill White, Darkroom Door Stamps, Kaisermist: pink, peach, yellow, apple, aqua, wisteria and blackberry. Washi tapes from Hambly and WRMK.

A simple little page that was very quick to pull together- I've mostly used Cocoa Vanilla Wild at Heart including the gorgeous glitter enamel dots. The alphas are Thickers- Dear Lizzy Saturday Petals.

DT Share: Corrigin

I have a double page layout to share today with no less than eleven photos from my daughters trip with friends to Corrigin, WA.

I've used a long block design- one of my favourites to get a lot of photos on a spread like this. The Patterned Paper on the bottom acts like white space to balance all the busyness and action of the photo block. Small snatches of patterned paper and minimal embellishing add interest with out overwhelming the page.

 

I'm working with the Cocoa Vanilla Wild at Heart range which is lots of lovely Jewel tones and an uncommonly lovely dark blue. The paper are: Fussy Cuts, Patchwork, Luscious and Artisan, and Plus the Flair Buttons and Accessory Sticker Sheet from Cocoa Vanilla. I've finished the page with a title in Thickers: Iguana Black and one of the new Green Tara Washi Tapes: Leaves on Blue.

I think that Mystical Member Jules44 has absolutely nailed this cluster of flowers... the pink and blue work so well together and she's softened it all up with lots of white and white space. The splatters tie in perfectly as well. This is from week 3 of our competition and Jules was bang on for the challenge. Thanks for joining in and sharing this layout in our gallery Jules.

DT Share: Love and Happiness

  One of the things I love about these lines from Simple Stories and Fancy Pants is their versatility- and that includes a summer day at the lake! I love this photo of my littlest guy at 18 months so I have printed it as a 6x8 and let is be the focus of my page.

  I have combined the SS line Life in Colour and the FP Line Happy place. Papers: SS: Love this life, Teal/yellow, Coral/blue and Vertical Elements. FP: Hello and Good Day. I've teamed them up with some of the SS: Ephemera, Brads and Cardstock Stickers. Finally I added some Hambly Washi Tape.

Donna's Challenge- Gypsy's page

Our monthly challenges go up on the first of each month and you can see the challenges for May right here. Over the weekend I had a go at completing Donna's Tic Tac toe Challenge using the left column of the grid- doily, bling and two washi tapes.

I have sprayed my doily with a number of Kaisermists including Aqua, Blackberry, Peach and Yellow. I've used Washi tape from both the We R Memory Keepers Plum and Purple packs. Lavender Pearls, Aquamarine Rhinestones and Resin Blossoms finish off the embellishing. Pebbles Spring Fling Words and Momento Puffy Thickers for my title.

For this page I've combined the lovely floral vellum from the Cocoa Vanilla Wild at Heart range with the Simple Stories Life in Colour Range- and some super red washi tape from Kaisercraft.

I'm loving the muted colour palette that Dale has chosen for this layout for week 7 of our Scrap Around Australia Competition. I also think there's lots of little details to notice- great idea to use ephemera to help tell the story- especially making the little pocket in the top right hand corner. I love that the misting she's done for the background repeats the shape of the light bulbs in her main photo. It was also a great choice to go for minimal embellishing to ensure her pages didn't get too busy. Great page Dale- thanks so much for sharing it and for playing along in our competition! You can see more competition pages in the Mystical Gallery.

A single photo layout for me today. I've used a 5x7 for this sweet photo of my son Will holding his younger brothers hand while he sleeps.  

I've been working with the Simple Stories Life in Colour range. The papers I have used here are: Big Memories, and Vertical Elements. I have teamed it up with the Brads and Ephemera. This range compliments well with the Fancy Pants Line: Happy Place. The Red + paper is Hello and the Large letters are also from that range. I've finished the page with the Kaisercraft Polka dot tape.

You need to choose one line... in any direction, just needs to be a straight line!

and here is my take... I chose the top line, doily, tag and flowers

I've used Jillibean's  Chit Chat Chowder, papers and alphas and stickers  on Kaisercraft Kraft card, with Green Tara, and Prima flowers and a doily from my stash.
