Challenge 1 - Tic Tac Toe Challenge ( Try to choose a row with a Media! )

Challenge 2 - Monochrome Plus

Create a Monochrome layout and add your chose of media.  It could be texture paste, paint/sprays or inks.

I've used Embossing powder on my chipboard title and heart.
Black and White cardstock
Green Tara flowers - Fantasy Bloom 

Challenge  3 Use one mixed media product two or more ways on your page...

Products used: Colour Blast: Limited Edition: 'Original'. Nuvo drops, Mask, Distress Ink, KaiserMist, Glitter Thickers, White Bazzill, Cocoa Vanilla Sticker. My Spiders are asterisks from a foam thicker set. :-)

I've used Nuvo drops on my page above- I've spread gold drops with a rubber comb to add some dimension and interest to my background.  And silver drops in a line to make my spiders webs.

Other ideas:
Ink; edges, stamped background, through a mask/template.
Paint: stamped, painted image, painted background, through a template.
Texture paste: on its own, with colour added, through a template to make your title.
Wet Embossing: with a stamped image, direct to your page, with texture paste and a stencil, onto chipboard.
Mists; Sprayed, painted, flicked.
Use your imagination!

Mixed Media and Colour Blast: Limited Edition

I've been working with some mixed media materials ahead of out Cyber Crop this weekend. My kit for this month is the distressed and grung greens and blues of the Colour Blast Limited Edition Range. I've used the 'Original' and 'Real Deal' Papers. Added these cogs from WOW which work perfectly with this line- I've embossed them green to work with the papers. to help add to the movement in my photo I added a line of woodland green and black nuvo drops down the right hand side of my page and spread them across with a rubber comb.

This is the 'Imperfect' Paper. I have applied distress inks to my non-stick craft sheet and misted with water and then applied the paper to the mat to get my coloured background.
The stars on the left are made by spreading texture paste through a mask and then I have added embossing powder while the paste is still wet- the trick is to wait for the texture paste to dry before you heat the embossing powder.
My title is Foam Thickers and the Stickers are from the Cocoa Vanilla lines: Boys Rule and Totally Rad.

Last month I was working with one of the newest lines in the store Cocoa Vanilla - Happiness. I  love the upbeat, blissfully happy feel of the patterns and designs. I think this is also a great range for card makers. Happy scrapping!

June Mixed Media Monthly Challenges

Welcome to our June challenges :)

Mixed media is fun, and it's an amazing way to create beautiful and interesting layouts by combining different techniques and mediums.

Challenge 1 - Sketch Plus Paint

Challenge 2: Ink through a mask or stencil

I've used Tim Holtz Distress Inks to make a inked background on my page and then inked in darker tones through Crafter's Workshop Templates. The finishing touches are washi tape, Nuvo Drops, and Gold Thickers for my title.

Challenge Rules

· Please upload your entries to our Inlinkz link up, or to the album in our Private Facebook Chat Group by 11.55pm 30th June 2019 to be eligible for the prize.
The prize is by random draw.

· International entries are welcome, however, due to international postage cost, a Creative Design Spot will be offered along with a little surprise in the post.
