Tip of the Week: Coffee Mug Hanger Uses
Whilst tidying my craft area recently I discovered I was getting annoyed with how all my tapes (double sided and Foam) were always a mess and it would always take me ages to find the one I was looking for. The I saw in the kitchen that I had a spare Coffee Mug Hanger. So there you go, who knew kitchen items could be so useful. You could use it for your Washi tapes also.

Gallery pick: Sharon B
Gypsy here with the last gallery pick for February.
What rocks about Sharon B's two pages shown below is how they show:
a. How good she is with colour.
b. That she is a master of backgrounds.
and c. The awesome diversity in her design style.
I love these two pages- there's a completely different energy in the photos on each page- and Sharon's design choices reflect that perfectly. Thanks Sharon your an inspiration!

Tip of the week: Wax your Titles
Have you seen the Art Alchemy Waxes in store? I have to admit I love them so much I have one of each colour.
Here's one of my favourite things to do with them- colouring my titles...
For this title I have dabbed the waxes on to black foam thickers. I've used Mint Sparkle and Peacock and the effect I get is a lot like Paua (Abalone) shell... love it!
Here's one of my favourite things to do with them- colouring my titles...
The wax goes on to every surface I have tried so far and that includes these Chipboard Titles from Cocoa Vanilla- which are great because they come in white so you can recolour them to suit your layout. Here I have used Blue lagoon and Sweet Rose. Finger brushed it on a gentle rub to blend. Let it dry and then rub to polish it up.

The layers of papers and the layered individual embellishments are cute and set the page of beautifully. But mostly I am impressed with the amount of stitching it is just fabulous. Well Done

Tip of the Week....
Hello, Donna here and it's my turn for the 'Tip of the Week'
Now, those that know me know I'm not much of a card maker, but with all the leftover bits of pretty papers I have, I should be!!
So this year I have started a new habit, when I'm working with a paper range (or several different ranges that I like together) all the leftover bits that might be card worthy I've been popping them in a snaplock bag, along with any leftover bits of string, ribbon or embellishments and a blank card and envelope.
Now if I have a few moments to play, I can pull out a bag with all the co-ordinating bits ready to go!
Bonus Tip - the larger IKEA resealable bags are even better as they are just that little bit bigger :)
Happy Scrapping everyone!

Saturday Inspiration
Twelve ideas to jump-start your weekend scrapbooking:
- Use a blue and yellow colour scheme.
- Have a title and a subtitle to get your message across.
- Recycle something- my bow came from some special coffee my husband got for Christmas.
- Journal with stickers.
- Create a frame by triple matting a photo- works best with an enlargement.
- Scrap a design with a diagonal flow.
- Repeat an idea... see the little flags at top and bottom opposite corners? They help to balance my page.
- Use a file tab.
- Stack some tags just for fun.
- Sprinkle stars.
- Leave some space free and clear.
- Keep it simple for more impact.
