Visual Triangles ...

We talk a lot about "visual triangles" in scrapbooking - the function of taking any element and repeating it three times in a roughly triangular pattern.  Visual triangles aid the eye in making connections to items on your page allowing for movement and flow and balance on your layout.

A visual triangle can be made using several techniques. Many scrappers use repeated single embellishments in the triangle points or they may use different embellishments but in a single colour at these points. You can also repeat certain shapes such as hearts, stars or use journaling or text titles at these points to form a triangle. Or you can use all of these techniques in embellishment clusters.

While looking through our June Cyber Crop entries I spied this delightful page by Kikyee (aka Kristy) which shows you how effective a visual triangle can be.

July Challenge

Hello everyone and welcome to our first challenge for JULY!!...

For our first challenge, I have a sketch for you, I didn't get time to make my own this time so I've found on Page Maps for you.  www.pagemaps.com.

Of course here at Mystical we like to add to our sketchs, so you need to add a touch of Metal to your page!

It can be anything you like....and a little or much as you like

June "This all about the Chip' Cyber Crop

Welcome to our June Cyber Crop!

Hands up who loves Chipboard??   **Waves hands madly**  ME, I do!

Lets fall back in love with this wonderfully fun embellishment....Here are 3 challenges to get you going.

Mine is a colour challenge - please use at least three of these colours along with chipboard for your page.

For this challenge I want to you use paint and chipboard....How you use it is up to you!

Challenge Three

For my 2nd challenge, I want to see some you adding some extra detail to your chipboard..Here are some examples

• You can emboss it using a Cuttlebug etc.... 
• Heat embossing power... 
• Glitter with Dimensional Magic....
• Cover it with PP and sand it back

You have a full week plus, to scrap these challenges, upload them to our gallery and be in the running for a $20.00 store voucher, or a pack of lovely goodies for being the DT pick.
