February Travel inspired Cyber Crop

Welcome to our February CC... inspired by Travel!

Whether it's a week-end trip out of town, or a around the wold tour, most of us love to travel!  We are so lucky here in Western Australia as we have some beautiful spots to visit just a few hours down the road.

My family loves to visit the south-west of WA, what's your favourite holiday place?

Challenge 1  Incorporate 3 tags, string and journalling

I've scrapped some photos from a girls holiday to Melbourne for my birthday a couple of years ago.  My birthday wish was to visit the Melbourne Garden show,  we stayed about a week, and had a wonderful time.

On this day my friend Yvonne and I visited the Fitzroy Gardens... I just loved the conservatory!

I've used Cocoa Vanilla  Love Always  papers  and Vellum Accents, as these photos are so colourful, the soft grey and pink work beautiful with them,  and Kaisercraft Script Words for my title.  Some die cut accents and Green Tara flowers, with some bits from my stash make-up my cluster, and die-cut tags, with our pale pink twine .

Challenge 2 - Colours of Nature.

Like Donna, I love to visit this beautiful state and would have to say that going down South is always a favourite.

A few years ago my hubby, son and I went on a road trip down South and I rented us a place called "The Yurt" just outside of Walpole. It was one of the best holidays I have been on. The place was on a property surrounded by cows and kangaroos and just trees for miles.
Along the way we stopped at a few places, one of them being a bird park where I took this photo.

So the challenge is a layout/card or OTP project featuring colours inspired by NATURE.

Here is my layout using the gorgeous OPEN ROAD papers from Kaisercraft.

These are available in the store.

I have inked the papers and cardstock with Bark ink from Kaisercraft.

The quote is from a barcode strip.

Challenge 3  - Adventure

Use distressed photos, and create a layout having a Vintage or Grunge look

Love travelling exploring and taking photos, this old carriage is 10 mins from home,  old trees are carved into soldiers that went to war from our area.

February 2018 Challenges

Hi Everyone, and welcome to our February challenges, our DT has 2 great challenges to help inspire you!

Challenge 1 -  Karen's

Create a double layout  would love to see 4 photos and die cut embellishments.   Your choice in how and what you use to create some dimension on the layout,  for my page I used liquid pearls with a die cut stencil I made with my Cricut Expression machine 
                                      
I used 4 summer photos and the following supplies;

Card Stock  Bazzill - Swiss Dots -Rip Tide 

                                                   

Photos have been matted with Echo Paper Under the Sea Collection 

Seaweed has been done by a Die Cut from my 

Cricut Cartridge then filled in with liquid pearls.

 .

 Die cut seaweed used over the top of my pearl seaweed 

then I added a couple fussy cut fish to the seaweed cluster on 

each page

I loved this range it was beautiful to work with 

and fitted my Summer photos photos perfectly!

Challenge 2 - Sketch Challenge

Hello and Welcome to my challenge for February.

Donna has created this wonderful sketch for you to use and interpret how you like. Flip it, turn it or simply follow the design as you see it but use it as your inspiration. 

Here is my take on the sketch

I have used the gorgeous Echo Park papers from their Under the Sea Collection

which can be found in the Mystical Scrapbooks Store

 To add some texture I have used some stone pebbles.

Anchor charm is from my stash.

 I have handwritten my journalling with a black liner pen.

To create the bubbles, I used a stencil from Dusty Attic and transparent texture paste from Ranger.

While they were still wet, I sprinkled some of the stone pebbles over them.

To finish the page off I outlined the edge of the page with black liner pen and used Dylusional Spray "Squeezed Orange" and the same bubble stencil.

One Line ~ Eleven Layouts

 Hey all,

Just popping in to share some recent scrapbooking with the latest Cocoa Vanilla Line in the store. The colours in the Bohemian Dream Line are a mix of pink, orange, purple and blue making it a super versatile line- especially of you compliment it with some scraps from your stash. January Cyber Crop - Brights!

Hello!!... and welcome to our first CC for the year, we are embracing summer and all things bright!

Are you like me, I love the colours of summer, bright blue waters, gorgeous summer flowers and amazing aussie sunsets!

Challenge 1 - Mood Board + add some paint/ink

Just use bright some colours and add some paint or ink to your page :)  Here's my take.  I've taken inspiration from the colours, and the splatters.

I've  used my water colour pencils, then matched them with KaiserMists to create the runs and drops.  Cocoa Vanilla Love Always paper and embellishments along with mini roses and Kaisercraft paper blooms

Challenge 3 - Scrap Lift & Bright Colours

Welcome to 2018 and our CC for January

I hope you all had a fantastic New Year and are back to being creative.

For my challenge I have 'Scrap Lifted' one of Donna's gorgeous layouts.

Donna's Layout I have 'Scrap Lifted'

Here is my layout. I rotated it 90 degrees.

 So my challenge to you is to find a layout from one of the DT members in the Gallery and 

'Scrap Lift' it.

Make sure that you also use BRIGHT colours to keep in with the theme.

I have used Kaisercraft Stamps, Washi Tape and Resin Flowers.

The 'Little Moments' chipboard word is from Dusty Attic

I have used black ink to colour the chipboard word.

 To finish off the layout I added some black bling.

Welcome 2018!

Welcome to our first set of challenges for the new year!  

Challenge 1

Karen's Layer Challenge.   Use pattern paper for your base and then use another 3 layers of pattern paper, and use 3 photos.

Supplies used Fancy Pants - Family & Co and Happy Place

Stickers     Happy shape puff , Happy Place Dicton and thickners glitter for title 
Paper         Happy Place - Good Day , Family & Co - Our house,  Here with you 

I layered my paper and used the paper saving technique to get the most from one piece of paper as it was double sided

I tore the 3rd layer so it gave a distress look,  also separates the pattern papers a little and gives some texture to your page.


Challenge 2  

Jodie's Challenge - Use 5 elements/techniques on your page

Here is my page.

5 elements : Inking, Mixed Media, Embellishments, Word Title and Patterned papers for my photo mat.

Papers used are from the Bohemian Dreams Collection.

You need to upload your layout into the Mystical Scrapbooks Gallery - here , or via linkup.

Happy 1st December! 

Christmas is just around the corner! and it's is a super busy month for most people, but I hope you will find some scrappy time and join us in this months challenge.  We don't have a Cyber Crop in December, but there might just a extra challenge mid month! 

Challenge 1 - Karen's Recipe Challenge

Pattern paper distressed , 12 embellishments , 2 word title and hand journaling 

I used Prima Flowers , Thickeners , lilybeedesign double dutch marmalade for pattern paper , coordination for the 2 strips of distress card , Kaiser colour paint cool grey
