Challenge 2 - Jodie's Challenge - Mood Board

I would like to see you use the colour board for your inspiration and as we are celebrating our birthday, your page should reflect a big birthday....for example the Big 'O', First Birthday, 18th or 21st or maybe becoming a teen.

Here is my layout

SURPRISE!!!
On my 40th Birthday I got married. I had made a promise to my hubby that if we were still together by my 40th birthday, that I would marry him.
So we planned a 40th Birthday with a twist. We surprised the guests by getting married.
My wedding had a Bon Jovi theme (no surprises there!!)
So my wedding pages have Bon Jovi Song Titles.

For the background I have used Kaisercraft Paint.
Inked the edges in Charcoal.
The 'Our Wedding' Title is from Francheville.
The papers are from Simple Stories - Life in Colour.

I look forward to seeing your wonderful creations and remember to upload your challenges by midnight 29th October.

Thanks for playing along

Challenge 3 - Donna's Challenge - Use Numbers

As it's been 9 years since I made the decision to buy this little scrap shop, I would like to see you use numbers on your page... and if you use the number 9 anywhere you will win an extra prize!!  Everyone who uses a number 9 in any way, will receive a packet of bling... Only 1 condition, I must be able to see it, so let me know in your gallery post if it's a bit small or hidden :)

Here's my example :)

I've use some of the many many left over Thicker numbers that I have, painted them with Gesso and then used Kaisermists to add some colour.

I added some Cocoa Vanilla - Totally Rad,  Accessory Stickers and some glitter Nuvo Drops.

You have a week plus to upload your creations into the gallery - Here

Gallery Pick- KathyLovesToScrap

KathyLovesToScrap is our Gallery pick this week and if you think you've seen the page above before you are almost right!! This page is from challenge one in our May CC and if you haven't seen the pages in the gallery I highly recommend it because they are all so different and all bring their own special touch to the design. Kathy was one of only two who chose to use a patterned paper for her page base and I think her choice and the papers she's matched with it are just perfect together and for the subject of her LO! I love all the little word art embellishments that compliment but not overwhelm the design. I like the pick paint dots which flow through the page and fact she chose to have her title just simple and co-ordinated. It's a great page Kathy- thanks for joining in on the challenge!

September Cyber Crop All About You! Challenges

Hi scrappy friends

For this month Cyber Crop we thought we would have some fun with our names, so in order to introduce our new DT members a little more,  our challenges this month are All about you. Each challenge has two parts and you can choose to do one or both parts: You get a bonus entry in the draw if your page is about YOU!

Challenge 1

D is for Donna and/or distressing. To meet this challenge your page needs to be about something that starts with the letter D AND/OR incorporate Distressing.

For this challenge I've scrapped about the Driving!  I just love a county driving, partly because we are going on holidays, but mostly I just adore getting out of the city.

I've used Kaisercraft Time Machine range, I've distressed the edges of my paper and added a Die Cut heart border with some mini blooms in Honey

Challenge 2

J is for Jodie and/or use the word JUST in your title.  To meet this challenge your page needs to be about something that starts with J AND/OR incorporate the word JUST in your title.
For example : JUST US, JUST ME, JUST YOU, JUST ONE, JUST THEM.

For this Challenge I have scrapped a picture of my daughter and I with the title JUST US.
My daughter and I are very close and from the moment she was born, through a divorce, being a single mum and then remarrying, she has always been there. So it's always been JUST US!!!

The layout was completed using Carta Bella Papers, Rustic Elegance - Wood Floral for the background.
The frame is from Memory Maze
Thickers letters in Cucumber from American Crafts
The other papers used are from the Cocoa Vanilla Totally Rad Collection
Doily is from my stash

These fragipani's are from an old headband. Perfect for the pic, as it was taken in Bali.
Flowers from Green Tara

I have left the chipboard frame raw, as I wanted the layout to have a natural look.
I added some lace under the frame for some texture.

The tag is from Kmart in the Scrapbook section.
The heart embellishment is made using the Epifany Tool.
I have stamped the background with a script stamp using Pinecone Ink
To finish I have flicked Kaisercraft Antique Gold Mist on the background
with Nuvo Crystal Drops - Duck Egg
Collectables used are from the Blue Bay Kaisercraft Collection

You can find all these wonderful products in the store here

Thanks for stopping by and I look forward to seeing your creations.
Happy Scrapping!!

Challenge 3

K is for Kookaburra , would love to see animal /bird photo incorporated starting with K like Kookaburra , Kangaroo etc or a family pet with a name starting with K

I used Manor House paper torn , Core dinations Collection , Cocoa Vanilla You Rock Washi Stickers , American Crafts Thickers Sparkling , Kaisercraft Rhinestones , Chipboard and Flowers all can be found in the http://www.mysticalscrapbooks.com.au/store/

Gallery Pick- Kikyee

These two layouts by Kikyee in our gallery are both from sketches and she has done such a fab job of making them her own. She's shown off her fantastic talent for pulling product together to create a fabulous cohesive and two just flat out lovely pages! One of the cool things about seeing these pages side by side is looking at the way these pages feel- masculine and sophisticated for the top layout and lovely soft and feminine for the bottom page- but both very much Kikyee's signature style! Super cool!! Thanks so much for the inspiration Kikyee.

Gallery Pick- Mrs Dr Who

Is this where she gets it from? Our Gallery pick this week is one of the Mum's of EbonyJane who we picked a few weeks pack... I suspect this might be where she got her creative talent from! MrsDrWho is also relatively new in our Gallery (I love that screen name too by the way!) The LO above is from our June sketch challenge and I love her take on the sketch. Fantastic bold colour way, the repeated cogs to pair up with the photo and a nice bold title. The LO below is from Donna's May challenge- what I loved was the paper's MrsDrWho has pulled together- those colours are perfect! The banner title- bold and fun and the super simple embellishing- less is more was the perfect approach for this page. Thanks MrsDrWho for inspiring us this week, it's great to have you with us!
