Inspired by the start of spring and in hopes of some lovely weather- this month we're all about flowers!
Challenge one - Mood Board
Take the inspiration for a scrapbook page or card from this month's inspiration board. Look at the shapes, numbers, patterns, colours and ideas in the board and find one or more ideas that you can use as a springboard for your project.
Here's my take on the sketch:
Challenge 3 - Scrap-Lift Inspiration
Scrap-lifting is a great way to try a new technique, rev up your mojo, or just because you love someone's style!
And it's perfectly acceptable as long as you follow the 2 golden rules:
1- All ways give credit to the person your scrap-lifting
2- Never submit Scrap-lifted work for publishing, you can only scrap-lift for personal use
I adore Louise Nelson's style, maybe because it's so different from mine. I meet her at a private weekend retreat in SA some years ago, and her pages still make me whooo & aahhh !
A page of her popped up in my FB feed the other day and I knew I was going to have to SL it- find it HERE
And here is my take in it :) Ive used very different colours, but kept the over all design. And to tie it into out theme, make sure you add a flower!!
I've used KaiserMist Turquoise for my background, and then got to use lots of left over bits!
I got out my Cuttlebug and cut the tags from left over bits from Fancy Pants - Happy Place range, the little banners are from October Afternoon, Cogs from Twiddleybiz and the arrow from Memory Maze the speech bubble is from Cocoa Vanilla Totally Rad , wood veneer pack, I just turned it and painted the back!
